Getting the panels out is only way to see if a strut or secondary panel is in the way.

Better then a bodge if you want a clean fix.

Either that or glue, screw and pull, filler and a paint job.

Vacuum pullers will often do a decent job on push in dents but not sharper ones.
I'd expect bodywork guys would be looking at type of dent and be recomending best way.
Hi Dancingdad, thank you for the info. The dent is on the passenger side, approx. 150mm below the rear window and about 150mm to the right of the door opening. I didn't want to spend a couple of hours taking interior trim, rear seat and panels out only to find no access, and when its all fitted back, it squeaks, what a pain that would be. Fingers crossed someone may know, regards Ian
