Might be because for a few years now, FWD has been so popular/prevalent that this may well be the driver's first taste of RWD.
It's a bit heavy as well, so once the back end lets go, there's a lot of momentum to counter.
I grew up on RWD, so am quite used to looking for the signs that grip is about to convert to slip.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
