As Davesss says,Haynes manuals have a mixed reputation,but they are an invaluable source of tips and instructions for most jobs.Together with forums like this there is no reason why anyone with a bit of common sense couldn't carry out a service or replace basic parts.You'd be amazed at the amount of people out there who are incapable of replacing wiperblades or bulbs....

By just doing your own oil and filter changes you can save yourself a large chunk of money,and shopping around for parts,not just immediately going to a main dealer can save money too.I can't believe the amount of people on the forum who are taking 5 or 10 year old cars to main Renault dealers for servicing or repairs!.It just doesn't make sense to me.....

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
