Nah, that was just cos they were getting too close to Dagenham

As said, Heralds and Spitfires shared a common suspension set up and were notorious for wheels hanging under at odd angles in hard (and not so hard) corners. Many Spitfires had excess camber added to try to reduce it and it was quite common to see em running on the tyre corners.

Interesting link on the issue if anyone interested.

Wasn't it the Allegro's suspension based on moggy's that the front wheels fell off of ??
