thanks for all the great info guys i'll definately get onto all the relevant people. i've been lucky iive spoken to a local guy who does spraying and dent work on the side as a hobby who will do it for about 200 quid so could have been worse. i have added all the photos including all the damage photos. what is the best way to contact the watchdog???
The brown-ish colour seems to be related to corrosion (any thoughts folks)?
If so, the replacement of these parts should be part of the "maintenance" of the bonnet catches - which is NOT CHECKED when brought into a Renault dealer. Ultimately, it's there responsibility. An example if a tyre is wearing or the wiper blades - you get a note of this after a servicing - why not things like a bonnet safety catch?
