Hi there, I don't know how old or how many miles your car has covered, but something you may wish to look into is purchasing an aftermarket warranty (which would cover the cost of replacement items). One I have used and found to be good is :: Warranty Works we supply Car Warranties at trade prices ::
, you may find it useful to try an online quote (there are other companies out there, so check what is & isn't covered).
Some may question the ethics of purchasing a warranty (when you know there's a fault), but how can that be realistically proven?
At least if you spend some money on a warranty, you can view it as an investment rather than an expenditure.
Hope that helps.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
