The appendages aren't required to get involved in your own repairs. But a tool box probably is

Though I'm sure your own attributes helped persuade the garage man to take pity on a damsell in distress

Nice one Honeybee, 60 quid saved over a new arm from Renault and quite possibly the same again if they'd fitted it.
Sounds like a good result to me.

Don't forget to pass on good deeds, it all helps.
