Though being open minded about it, as long as Renault (or other makers) don't monopolise the diagnostics and settings to prohibit the plug in setting tool, I have less of an issue then with the motor and cable unit which can only be accessed fully with a Can Clip (AFAIK
It's a seperate caliper/motor so again, spares prices should be less. Again assuming that vehicle makers don't monopolise. Quick look on Europarts suggests that the caliper sans motor is available.
We do not want another crazy situation like the cables jamming on earlier Grand Scenics forcing a complete EPB change.
