Problem removing EGR valve from Megane 1.9DCi

Hi all

Have seen a number of EGR posts here, but wanted to ask if there is a technique to actually remove the EGR valve? According to Haynes and other posts I gather it should just pull out?

Have removed the 3 bolts holding mine in place, but the valve won't pull out. In fact it barely moves - any ideas as to why thsi is or how I can remove it without damaging it?

Reason for doing this is I had a faulty turbo which has now been replaced, but looking into manifold from intercooler hose attachment its really filthy, all bunged up with oily deposits so could certainly do with a clean. Can it seize in place due to oil etc?

Any ideas on how to remove the EGR would be very helpful! Thanks

Squirt carb cleaner or wd40 if you don't have any round were it joins the manifold then rather than pull it straight out twist it and wiggle it after a wile it should start to pull out.

Who would design a vehicle that falls over when you stop?

If you find a fix for your problem please let us know it will help others.
