Removing clio starter motor

anybody know why i cant get the motor off?

My clio wont start at all... it been gettin worse at startin over the past few weeks and now when i turn the key nothing happens. i have started to take the starter motor off to try a new one... i have disconnected the power cable and solenoid and undone the two holding bolts (on the right side of the motor looking down past the air filter) and i cant get it to move?? I cant find any more bolts holding it in??

There are 3 one is on the left level with the top right one.

Who would design a vehicle that falls over when you stop?

Hi Josh

Did you get it out upwards or from under the car? did you have to take anything else off?

Re: Removing clio starter motor

Hi Ralph

First i took the power cable and solenoid off from underneath the car, then i went to the top and took the air filter off and then the three holdin bolts, two are together and the other is seperate and like an inch or two closer to the front of the car. i cant remember if you actually need to take the air filter off, just know it helped me see where i was goin and work out which last bolt needed to come off..
