Renault trafic wont start, Help!

Hi all, I bought a 2002 renault trafic 1.9 dci sl29 with 72k on the clock a few weeks back. Everythings been fine up untill this morning. I parked the van up last night but when i came back to it today i noticed that the glow plug light isnt lighting up at all and the van wont start. It turns over, just wont fire up. Does anyone have any ideas what the fault could be. Gratefull for any help, thanks in advance.

cheers for reply, just checked the fuses, they all seem fine. Noticed a slight buzzing noise coming from the drivers side of the engine bay when the ignition is switched on. Not sure if this will be related.

Re: Renault trafic wont start, Help!

Buzzing is the fuel pressure regulator thats nothing to worry about

Im not sure if the glowplugs are a seperate circuit on your van or if they get power along with other things i recon they get powered from something else hence no glow no start there is a main power relay somewhere beside the fuses

Sorry im more used to espaces and lagunas

No probs, cheers for your help mate

Theres quite a few relays in there, would it be worth taking the relays out and cleaning up the terminals

Ive noticed that the glow plug light briefly comes on when turning the engine, only for a split second tho.

I had a transit before this and not once did it not start in 2 years of owning
