Hi guys, have any of you successfully cleaned your inlet manifold on a 1.5dci?

I've just read in the haynes manual its built into the cylinder block and therefore can't be cleaned?

Any tips for cleaning? - spraying chemicals in etc.

Routine EGR, EGR housing and inlet pipe cleaning coming up soon, so I thought I'd ask :)

Cheers Scott

There goes my plan to exact size the inlet manifold gasket for the holes in the inlet manifold and cylinder block when the car is out of guarantee.:(

Integrated intake manifold :(
Unless you have something that can reverse blow a solvent thru the manifold only, once the egr bit is off, looks like your/were stuck.

Going the other way any crud you clean off is gonna go direct into the engine, with dirt thinned nice and gritty and with a thinner to dilute the engine oil.
Bah.

This link is a fun examination of the k9k..might be "naughtyspotted " but wth
