hey guys and girls, my Laguna has a boomy air intake, after reading the post via the search function i still have no joy.

I have noticed that when i disconnect the pipe to the intake manifold i still have the noise but if i close the damper unit manually then the noise is eliminated..

any ideas how to cure this noise?

many thanks in advance

*SORTED*...

right then, its been hissing me off, i have previously cleaned the EGR but no change, so i took it out again as well as the throttle damper unit, had a good look with a bright torch and found that the opening from the EGR to the main intake was completely blocked (both in intake manifold cast) i cleaned this as well as the intake its self, it was filthy, put it all back together and BOOM, no more boom... :)
problem solved, also on the plus side the response is much improved and hopefully the MPG should go up a little.

Happy Bunny

next job will be to clean the intercooler and all the pipes..
