Arrow 02 Clio 1.5 Dci blue smoke while cold.

Hi everyone! Looking for practical advice or someone who had similar problem to refer to solution.
Bought this litle car couple weeks ago. Has 137k on the clock. Toke it to garage, new oil . filters, decent set of tyres and tracking. Fought i am good to go. But as i drive it every morning or after work when engine is cold it very very smoky. smoke is bright blue. Goes of until engine reaches mid of temperature gauge. No power loss, engine sound is fine, no leaks under the car. And by the way after i done 250 miles my oil sensor went on. Had to top up some oil . about 0.5l. Thing is i like economy which this car produces, about 58 miles to gallon and don't want to spend to much on problem solving. Couse in these days these cars doesn't cost a fortune rather than garage service.
So please tell me what problem could be and how far i am safe to go? Just topping a oil and go? What would be cost of problem solving? many thanx.

Sounds like the piston rings are knackered.

The 1.5 Dci has a history of such - sometimes a double engine flush helps but in my experience in only about 25% of the time.

Don't rely on the dash display for the oil level - they are known to tell lies.
