My car has developed a judder, black smoke and loss of power at low revs. I installed a new EGR valve and this did not solve it. Problem is that when the EGR is diconnected and re connected again the car usually runs in limp mode for a few miles.
This did not happen after the new valve was installed or with the old valve, and still does not happen no matter how many times i disconnect it to clean it or inspect it.
Leads me to think there is a problem with the wiring to the EGR or the the turbo sensor.
Does anyone know how i would go about checking if the wiring to the EGR valve and the sensor are faulty?
