laguna 1.8 16v 2003

hi, have recently purchased a laguna 1.8 16v (03) and after reading all the posts wishing i hadnt. i am experiancing what seems to be a misfire, i have used one of the diagnostic tools you can buy and it says misfire in unspecified cylinder. i changed all the injector coils but to no avail. any clues.

Do you not mean ignition coils ?

Also have you checked the spark plugs and their colour?

yea, the ignition coils . ive not checked the plugs. what does the colour signify

Do an Internet search for spark plug colour - there's loads of photos and video clips available out there.

When you replaced all 4 Ignition Coils , you should also have replaced all 4 Spark Plugs at the same time.

Use the NGK Part Finder website to get the right plugs.
You want the "NGK BKR6EZ"

I also used to have a 1.8 Lag II. You also want to consider changing the air filter if you have not done so already. Its only 3" by 4" and blocks up in just 1 year.
Its only a 10 quid item and greatly improve fuel consumption if the existing one is dirty / blocked.
