Laguna II 1.9dCi - starting problems

Hi,
My Laguna II have just been returned from the garrage, where the have replaced the turbo and the EGR ?, and flushed the InterCooler (It took four weeks!).

They told me, that the battery have to be replaced (there was no problem with the battery before the repair), and they have had to jump-start it more than once.

This is two days ago, where we have had no problems.
Then this morning, it almost couldn't start, but did when i switches the lights off.

One hour later, i was not able to start the car.
I tried to jumpstart it, with no success.
Then i replaced the battery, but it still won't start, and the battery-indicator is on.
It doesnt turn the starter at all, and there is no sounds when i push the startbutton.

The generator was replaced 8 month ago.

Help!!!

For whatever reason it appears the battery isn't holding its charge - could be a duff battery or a current leak which is draining the battery. I suggest you check all cable connections including the engine earth lead.

I swapped the battery to brand new AND charged one. Still unable to start.

The lights a.s.o. works fine.

Hi Njnnjn - I take you have keycard ignition - if so it possible there is a fault there somewhere.

What the f... !!!
In the afternoon, we were going to tow the car, AND THEN THE CAR STARTED WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!!

Now i'm confused?

The only "suspicious" thing i can se now, is that the warninglights in the instrument-panel flashes in a strange manner, after i stopped the engine.
When i pull out the key-card, everything turns off and looks normal.
When put in the keycard, after a couple of seconds, the lights "STOP" and battery is lit, but maybe this is normal?

By the way, i'm impressed by the quick responses in this forum!

Best regards,
Njnnjn (From Denmark).
