Re: Renault Clio Cambelt change
i would get it changed and do the waterpump as while your there its worth replacing.
and dont skimp on the parts water pump, belt and tensioner as you dont want these parts to fail and its will be real expensive. the belt snapped on my mrs clio and then she gave it to me to fix, lucky as it only bent 5 valves and lucky being a fitter im able to do it myself as for a garage to do it would cost loads, it cost me around £200 in parts to repair and i did it myself so no labour charge.
i would get it done as it could save you a lot of money on either repair or have a new motor fitted. besides you cant put a price on piece of mind,
as for a price to fit i dont know but i know for my dci the belt kit is around £85 and the book time is roughly 2.4hrs so they may round it to 3 hrs at £50 -£60 an hr .
