I have a 2000 renault laguna 1.9dci and its developed this strange problem, when i'm cruising on the motorway in 5th at around 60mph i can feel the car jerking, if i go past this speed or under, its fine think it does the same in 3rd as well.
just to correct this its at 2200 2500 rpm when doing about 62 in 5th and also does this in some other gears but anything below or over that speed its smooth and fine.
is this happening on acceleration or only as you are cruising and trying to keep it at a steady 60 ie light throttle or hard throttle,,is it a slight hold back and then your power is back
It's as i am cruising holding it at 60 yes thats exactly it slight hold back and power back then hold back power back, anything under or above that its fine.
Ahh yes good suggestion, going to do an oil change this weekend with oil filter air filter and give the air flow meter, throttle body and egr valve a good clean see if that solves it.
Ok so i cleaned the maf which was caked in this black oil like substance, cleaned the egr and changed the oil, at first it was ok but recently the fault has returned otherwise the car does drive a lot better with a lot more power.
its not a huge deal just annoying and curious to know what it could be.
thanks.
