Hello,

this is my first post on the forum. Probably someone has had the same problem, but I couldn't find it while using the search for one hour: car vocabulary in english is not my strongest skills.

My Scenic has been doing the following for about one month, first rarely and then worse and worse. When starting the engine, it some times dies immediately after it has turned on. In this case, restarting usually cause the same result, until 3rd or 4th restart starts the engine well. Twice the engine has started well, but on idle it has been on some 25 00 rpm

The light in this link is on (don't know the name of the light in english) IMG-20120223-00698.jpg Photo by taire2010 | Photobucket and often this light in the middle is also on http://i.imgur.com/uTDlR.jpg .

The engine has died 2-3 times while driving on slow speed.

Oil level is ok, as well as other liquids. I have replaced the start lock with a new one, but it didn't help.

Thank you for helping and sorry for poor my poor English. Im happy if you can advice me on the right threat.

OK so the orange light that looks line an engine is the Engine Management Light (EML) there should be a code logged in the system to tell you why this has come on so if you can get some diagnostics carried out it may save you a lot of searching for the cause.

I brought the car to the repair yesterday, it didn't start anymore.

They did the diagnostics, and the diagnostics-device told there is no problems. They started the engine and there really were no problems. The car has worked fine as I've been driving yesterday and this morning.

Not sure if the weather has had something to do with the problems: maybe the electronical potentials has been connected during rain via wires? Or maybe the problem was in the lock I chanced, but it needed to be diagnocised. Well, I don't know what the problem was, but now the car is working well.

Thank you for your advice!
