2011 Megane 1.5 Dci 110 Dynamique - stalls when idle <10seconds after push start

Hi. I have a 2011 Renault Megane 1.5 Dci 110 Dynamique - The engine stalls if I leave it idle less than 10seconds after pushing the start button (this occurs only when the engine is cool). As soon as the engine stalls/turns off completely, it will display the toxic fume warning light ON (orange).

Further more if I start the engine and drive off immediately, it will start decreasing the acceleration rapidly after just a few meters and displays ESP off and then it will turn back ON instantly. Once the ESP is turned on again, the engine would work normally even when I would be idle in traffic - works smooth. The issue happens only when the engine is cool.

One other odd thing is that since this issue, the car would start just by pressing the button without even inserting the key card!!

Serviced recently and checked fuel injection/ replaced fuel filter.
No faults displayed during multiple diagnostic tests.

I'd really appreciate if you guys can help or share a solution if you encountered similar experience ?

Thanks!!

Nothing similar but weird things do happen if the battery voltage is low. Do you have a meter to check the battery terminal voltage in the morning, and compare it to the day before at the end of a drive.

Also, are you sure your car is not designed to start without the key in the reader? Do you have keyless entry / locking?

Hi... checked voltage with the engine off = 12.67V and after a short trip engine idle =13.42V

Regarding the keyless start - although some models have this feature but i'm sure before this issue, it wouldn't let me start prior input the keycard as when I attempted once, it displayed "Please insert card".

Thanks! :)
