Espace 2.2dci Mk IV 2004.
I have a bunny hopping/kangaroo power surge when the engine is at operating temperature:tumbleweed:. The problem stops when it cools.
On observation, the Stop Damper on the throttle body activates and deactivates when hot. This kills the power on and off.
I may have put the vacuum pipes on wrong when I replaced the inlet manifold gasket. Is this a possible cause????:crying2:
The power loss and regain definitely happens as the gate opens and closes. When the vacuum pipe is removed from the Damper, the power is not interrupted, it keeps strong. When the pipe is reconnected, the Damper turns on and off continuously and the power kangarooing starts again (if hot).
If I change the pipes over onto different connectors, will this cause damage? What's the worst that can happen if I try changing the pipes around?
Does anyone have a diagram or pic of the vacuum pipes?>
The pics green arrows show the start and end positions of one pipe. The same is shown by red arrows. Please tell me what the top dome/spaceship by the left green arrow is for.
This has been moved from another thread; previous advice on checking for leaks is much appreciated.:x
