I have read several different methods on this site. These include buying a blanking plate and turning the valve so the open end is away from the manifold. I did it on my Megane by cutting the plunger off the solenoid after cleaning the valve and manifold. In order to do this the solenoid has to be working. I put the plunger into the vice pulled against it and cut it off flush. The solenoid cannot open the valve because the plunger is too short but there's no CEL because it's working. Total cost was zero
I bought a cheep second hand one on Evil Bay fixed it out of the way and plugged
the connector into it to fool the ecu the org one stays shut, no problems over
many thousand miles and is likely why the oil stays very clean between changes.
i just unbolted mine turned it around 180deg then you find 0nly 2 out of the 3 bolts line up job done no more problems in that department and this is what your valves look like after 100000 miles with an egr valve (inlet valve)
as the egr is working but not as it should be no fault lights come up
might be worth putting up a picture of the type you have as renault being renault you may have a different type
Ron
There are 2 different types of blanking plate depending on what EGR you have. One is an oval plate with 2 bolt holes and is easy enough to fit. The other blanking plate is actually a disc that fits into the exhaust end of the flexible metal pipe, this is held with a fragile clip
