Hi
I'm a newbie i wonder if anyone can help me
we recently done a service on our renault 2005 grand scenic 2 1.9 dci
oil change, oil filter, air filter and diesel filter and 4 glow plugs
after the service we notice that the car is getting difficulty to start
it wasnt like that before the service
so anybody have similar thing happen maybe can give me an idea
Hi
thanks for the rapid response
what exactly you mean fittings?
i send it to a local garage to do the service
they say i must send it back for them to check but im afraid they will just tell me other thing to fix
it happen this morning i start the car and it start even having difficulty but then died
tried again it doesnt
check battery voltage is fine aslo water of the battery
pump the fuel with the manual pump like a ballon
then it start but needed to press accelaration so it wont die
sorry for the grammar in a rush to type
drive the car to work 60kms on the highway
get to work restart it then one click
What you are describing is a typical symptom of a small leak in the fuel feed lines to the main pump.
Fuel normally stays in the system due to a vacuum.
If a leak, it runs away leaving air.
The main pump will not pump air to get the fuel running.
But priming it can start it and will start happily unless left for long enough for the leak to have an effect. Often overnight but you may find a problem after work.
Assuming that it was running and starting okay before service, the fuel filter seals are the obvious place to check
And are a known problem.
oh wow
that make sense ok ill have it check by the garage who do that service
thanks for your knowledge
i hope you dont mind if i ask you other things
i also notice i have some several oil leaks on my engine
and losing oil too
i tried to clean my pcv valve with carb cleaner and blow it with air pressure
since i saw some thread of it related to oil leaks
but what i notice is
when my engine is running and i open the dipstick
its like an exhaust gas coming out from there
what could you suggest me to do
i asked the local garage to do me an egr cleaning and quoted me for 2hrs labour
thinking of buying fuel additives that clean egr and turbo instead
my renault grand scenic 2 1.9dci 2005 model
develop recently pressure in the engine
causes to push out breather pipe and spray oil in the engine
it still drives well no lack of power
just oil spilling causing it to give me oil pressure fault
anyone here have same thing and what can i do
really love this car

Stop driving it.........immediately
Stop posting in multiple threads about the obvious same problem................. people here try to help with your limited contribution and total absence and active participation
Wait for some feedback here after you answered a simple question of what the oil level is on the dipstick.
.................. you should have returned the vehicle to the "Service" guy when you first noticed the problem ............ we can only go by what you tell us and there is obviously way more involved - imo anyway since the vehicle seemed to be running right before the "service" and whatever was involved in THAT
ok when i look on my engine bay while running there is smoke puff like exhaust gas coming out from the breather pipe
i think i lost too much oil also thats why oil pressure fault appear
? You cannot have enough oil on the dipstick and at the same time have an oil pressure fault unless you are not reporting properly:surprise:
WHAT IS GOING ON NOW?
What is the oil level on the dipstick?
What warnings do you currently have? .................. if there is a low oil pressure warning currently stop the engine and see that enough oil gets added - you are busy destroying the engine..:crying2:

Once you know for sure there is enough oil in the engine replace the dipstick in its hole and post a video of the running engine showing what you experience
