Sudden Loss of Power - 1.5 dCi Scenic

I have a Grand Scenic 2007 1.5 dCi with some Renault 'issues'.

a. Starts fine
b. Slow to accelerate, does not feel like the turbo is kicking in at all until 3000rpm.
c. Sudden loss of power - lift accelerator / dip clutch to resolve. This happens in whatever gear / speed / temp and around 5 times on my way to work (15miles)
d. Injection Fault management light pops up when trying to hold it in gear for longer to get up a slight hill and then disappears when you stop and start.
e. Does lack power to go up any ascent.
f. Around 48 mpg

So far:
a. New MAF sensor
b. Cleaned EGR - Looking to blank this off.
c. Injector Cleaner used.
d. Inspection shows no pipes / hoses with holes in.

I am looking at trying it without the MAP sensor to see if that could be a cause.

Any help or advice here is welcomed as i am getting to my wits end with this car.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Hi Chris

I had a main dealer asking for 2 hours labour(@£90 p/h) to only IDENTIFY my fault (CHECK INJECTION SYSTEM- code P0096) so I feel your pain.
I ended up gambling £15 on a OBDII code reader/resetting tool from eBay.
It paid off - I found the fault, replaced the sensor (MAP/Air Intake temperature sensor) and all is well. Saved a small fortune.
If it doesn't work you can resell it or keep it for your next car.
PS. I wouldn't think your car would run well with a sensor disconnected as you suggest, not for long anyway.
