Re: Trafic 1.9 dci Glow plug problems.

I managed to spend an hour or two at the van today. Accessed the ECU and the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment. I was hoping to find a broken wire or corrosion on the blue plug. I followed the trail that Tiffx19 followed in this thread

Trafic non start. Immobiliser issue ***Fixed***

but both the white and pink CAN wires checked out ok for continuity between the blue plug and the ECU so unfortunately that is not my problem.

Is there any other continuity tests and/or ECU or relay tests that I can carry out.

Is there a power source to the ecu that could be interrupted in any way that I could look into.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Trafic 1.9 dci Glow plug problems.

You have power at your glowplug relay,? have you got an inertia/fuel cut off switch fitted,,,,this stops the ecu if its faulty or tripped from receiving power...

Yes. Power at the relay. Thanks for the suggestion about the inertia switch. I will look for that tomorrow and if it's there I will check it to see if current is passing through it. I presume that current passing through this switch goes to the ECU ?
