Re: oil in coolant tank
Ive got oil in my coolant tank ....I had a mechanic out on friday over a starting issue and asked him about an oil leak I have .....I think he said it was coming from the Thermostat Housing Manifold ( That was from searching on line after he pointed to the leak and called the part something I forgot) and that it was feeding into the coolant .......The dip stick is just covered in oil......Is this likely the case ...can I get the Thermostat gasket replaced and will this solve the problem.
NO, IMHO Change the whole thing. They are plaggy & warp. The gaskets from ECP are about £16. The whole thing is less than £40 Inc the seal. Same amount of work. Still need new coolant. Don't want to do it twice, do you?
