Very good!
I did not realize the vanes of the intake were balanced as a single unit and I have seen the kits. However, twenty thousand km is not very much and being out of balance can cause a turbo to scatter and destroy the engine. I am with you on playing with things and fix everything around the house from blenders to washing machines, televisions to extension cords. I don't buy many things new. I find these chra units from Melett to be very reasonably priced and they check the balance up to 150,000 rpm. It is certainly not worth the potential trouble to replace the bearings and seals on a customer pay situation and personally - for the peace of mind - on my own car too. Not to mention the fact that most of the original units I replaced had a broken shaft and the vanes were trash.
Bonne chance!

hi I hear what you're saying if someone else is is paying you then why would you go that route.we all seem to think a turbo is some mysterious thing that we must shire away from.open one up,there's nothing in there just a shaft and bushes.when they let go it's due to lack of oil changes ect . as I said have done 20000klm and I don't drive slow,at what speed is that turbo running at when I'm at 4000rpm. the vanes are a bigger problem to play about with first time round and more fiddle than the actual guts of the turbo, have the replacement turbo that was was fitted by Renault in the garage that has done 2000klm that I took off after I o/hauld the old one it is a genuine Garrett but made in Romania?
mine uses no oil has no noise and the car runs well cheers john
