OK fella's, a guy from another forum is in need of your help. His driveshaft on his Clio 2005 needs replacing. Its literally days out of warranty so thinks he might have a case for replacement under the warranty as it was looked at and diagnosed before the warranty expired. Is it likely to be a manufacturing problem that caused it to be replaced at 4 years old, or is it just wear and tear and he'll have to forfeit the cost?
AH!! - the old "wear and tear" clause which is always open to interpretation. It would be expected that drive shaft couplings won't last forever and are most likely to wear out sooner or later and it will also depend on mileage and driving style, etc.
To be honest you would need to ask the warranty company and as my old granny used to say "if you don't ask you won't get"
All warranties are sh-t all use the wear and tear excuse to get out of paying up only way they will pay for adriveshaft is if it collapses causing loss of drive
