1,5dci oil nightmare

I have 1,5dci clio '08. car is at 40.000km.

Official garage made oil change. After week it was strange to me that electronic gauge shows maximum level of oil all the time. So I did manual check.

All checks here are made after night park, at flat ground, in the morning. Dipstick was wiped and then reinserted. First picture is initial oil level checking, 2nd and 3rd are after garage made some additional oil removing.

The problems is that garage clerk gives me informations which all are in collision of what is stated in official user manual. Over maximum level is not so bad, level is not over maximum, the gauge is faulty designed, ...

Not sure what you think the problem is:)
The level on the dipstick after the oil removal looks OK, just on "max".
After standing ovenight the oil level is likely to be slightly above the "normal", if checked a few minutes after the engine is switched off. The electronic gauge on my 1.5dci reads max until the level falls below the max on the dipstick.
While it might be OK for the oil to be slightly above the max on the dipstick, too much, and there will be excessive churning/frothing of the oil in the sump, possibly causing oil starvation to the bearings.

The max level is there for a reason, If you put too much oil in any car engine, the crankshaft will whip it up. The foamed up oil will have trouble passing through the oil pump and the the oil passages in the engine, potentially leading to under-lubrication of critical components.

Thank you fvbar and roby37.

Situation in now clear. There was oil above maximum level, not more than half a liter. Now the level is under maximum, even electronic gauge reads one part below max.

Problem was caused partly by my mistake decision for choosing another garage instead of usual I work with. It was because I moved my residence some 10km from "usual" garage. I live in Serbia and I am now convinced in problems Renault, as manufacturing company, have in providing good level of support for customers after sale in my country (control over concessioners).

btw, I read user manual and guarantee document, and I trust to these documents. I'm not mechanic, I'm bachelor of law. There are few references to max oil levels in docs.

Thank you again for interest and opinions.
