Thumbs up Re: kangoo 1.5 dci power steering failure

No, but I think that's what I'll have to do and it will mean more than taking off the undertray. No mention of electric pump in the manual and no fuse marked up as such, but you never know...cheers

Angry Re: kangoo 1.5 dci power steering failure

Went on hol for a week to give my biceps a rest (steering heavy without pas!). Snow has now gone so removed front bumper and electric pump is mounted underneath fluid reservoir right down below battery and impossible to see from above. Checking Clio manual it's a complicated setup with 3 relays, valves etc. so need to check that pump motor isn't open circuit before doing anything else. Seems that pump motor failure is common (bba-reman site).....

Re: kangoo 1.5 dci power steering failure

Ordered new pump from bba-reman (200). Is this fairly straightforward to fit? Disappointed that a so-called 'expert' forum seems to be of little help, now or in the past......think I'll just stop posting.......yawn....zzzzzz

Re: kangoo 1.5 dci power steering failure

Sorry to hear you're disappointed Gordon but maybe no other member of the forum has either needed to or attempted to replace an electric steering pump on your model. Plus the fact you hadn't made any posts for a couple of weeks made me think you had it sorted.
