OIL Change for a Laguna 1.9 diesel

Was wondering how difficult it would be to change the oil in my 1.9 laguna diesel estate and if necessary the fuel and oil filter at same time, have been quoted £145 but won't be paying that!

many thanks.

Re: OIL Change for a Laguna 1.9 diesel

Its quick and simple, Just done mine about two months ago.

Oil (5ltr)and filter approx £25-30 from motor factors, you will also require a 8mm square drain plug key. I also got a replacement magnetic drain plug for about £5 from motor factors. Don't know about fuel filter though. You will then need a suitable container to catch the oil . The normal one from Halfords etc is not up to the job as the oil can not drain into it quick enough as I found out-the oil is very thin when warm and ended up on garage floor. Oil filter front of engine screw off type.

hope this helps.
