Ok here we go again with the old damp footwells
Right, i have just bought this motor and thought the funny smell was the dog hair all over but ney it was the damp footwells. Passenger and Driver
I have had a look at the sunroofs for the drains but cannot see where they might be .... i am thinking that they have none as they are not fully opening sunroofs they just look like they seal themselves when closed.
There are small drain valves under the floor pan of the motor around the damp area .... there are no gromits / plugs in these holes ... could the damp be road water seeping through here?
I've come across this problem before on 4 different cars as this is a new car to you - try removing the inner door panel under that is a plastic membrane (sheet) this defects water that runs down the side windows away from side panel thus preventing the water dripping into the interior of the car.
most people throw this plastic sheet away when stripping doors then get wet footwells and sell the car.
well worth a look.
