Plenty impact drivers on ebay for under a tenner if you need one....still best to shock them with a few hammer blows first though.

As shown in the video drilling is normally the last resort, you can normally break them loose with a hammer and sharp centre punch type tool by attacking them at an angle.

Sounds like you have a bit more fun to come with your planned repairs.
