Re: Clio Sunroof Seal or Frame leaking?

sounds exactly the same as mine. frame has lifted from the roof of the car, water in the footwell and headlining wet around the grab handles and visors and runs out from interior light. It's been leaking on and off for about 3 years. Initially I did the work myself with silicon sealant which worked for a short time. After that it went into garage, who took the whole thing out, resealed it and replaced it which held for about a year - and now it's started up again and patching up the sealant every few months just isn't working any more. Removing the old sealant you can see that it's wet underneath but there's no obvious place its getting in.

There's literally no breach in the sealant anywhere between the frame and the car roof but water is still getting in somehow. Drains are clear. It's been bit of a losing battle long-term!

There's nothing else that I can try, so I've booked a specialist mobile repair and that will be done in the next few days. It comes with a 12 month guarantee & Im hoping it will be money well spent cuz I've gotten tired of wet smelly carpets, misted up windows & being dripped on going round corners!!

The guy I booked said he does up to 5 a day. Lol Clio sunroofs are so bad people make a living from repairing them! But good luck in getting to the bottom of it. I plan to dry out my lining after the repair is done then hopefully I'll see at the next downpour if its held out. If it proves to be good I can pass on contact details for the repairer if, like me, you can't get the fix to last
