If the battery is just low on charge,then just jump start the car and leave it running for half an hour or so.The alternator will charge the battery and it should keep it's charge if started and run regularly.If the battery still doesn't keep it's charge,then it's fubar'd and you need to invest in a new one.Cheap batteries are available for around £25,but they don't tend to last too long,although if the car is for sale,it won't matter!.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
