Re: Deadliest car in the world

Tis not the amount of idiocy but the relative ease with which they can get into trouble with the wrong piece of kit in their hands.
We don't let kids play with matches..cos the idiots will burn the house down.
We ban people from carrying knives cos idiots use them to stab people.
We ban people from owning guns. Cos in the hands of idiots they are deadly.

But neither guns, nor knives nor matches are actually dangerous unless used as they shouldn't be. It is only the potential for danger that causes alarm.

That danger can be graded.
Play with a 22 pistol and you may need to replaster the walls.
Play with a 7.62 assault rifle and you're gonna be replastering the neighbour's walls. And the ones two houses down. Not to mention the adverse affects to anyone in the way.
Same with cars. Floor a 1.2 Clio and you may get a little wheel spin. Floor a supercar and without the experience to control it, you'll disappear into the landscape in a cloud of tyre smoke and broken pieces.
Currently in Dancingdad's garage:
Qashqai 1.6 spark driven, Kia Sedona 2.9 TDI, Scenic II 15DCi 2004 (SORN) not quite RIP.
