The system on my scenic is lovely to use. On hills and hill starts, never a doubt.
But the issues I had before Christmas showed all too clearly that it isn't an issue with the units as such. It is the attitude of the dealers and the failure of Renault to make a sensible allocation of spare parts.

GS cables are probably the big issue. Cables fail..fact of life. No-one should ever be faced with a 500 or larger bill to replace handbrake cables.
But unless Renault supply them as seperate items to the motor unit, they have few options but to shell out or risk units from scrapyards. Which then cannot be accessed fully as they are VIN coded to the original motor.

Qashqai 1.6 spark driven, Kia Sedona 2.9 TDI, Scenic II 15DCi 2004 (SORN) not quite RIP.
