Hi Chris,

I got it into the Renault garage @ Leamington Spa on Sat.
Phone up, and was quoted £41.15 to look at it. Fine I thought, asked why last time I'd been quoted £82. They said they were not sure, but its £41.15. Fine. dropped it off.

Phone call later that day. "we've spent an hour looking at it and its either lambda sensor or coils packs, we not sure. Do you want us to look into it?" hu? that was why I dropped it off. So they spent an hour and told me what I told them?

Ok, ok, can you look into the reason for me please.

Phone call this morning.
Stealers: "We think its the lambda sensor, do you wish us to replace it?
Me: "ok, how much?"
Stealers: "including the £80 diagnoistic fee, it will be £248"
Me: "F*%*, £80? you said 40?"
Stealers: "ok, 40 then".
Me: " I'll pick the car up later"

I'm not paying 250 quid to replace a lambda sensor!

Phoned GFS and they said its £58 quid for the sensor.

Now off to find out how to replace it on a Clio.

Not very impressed with Renault, make Alfa dealers seem good!
