Don't know on your wee beasty but on my scenic I've found virtually any job on the brakes requires bleeding. Whether I've opened a pipe or not.
And then re-bleeding after running it for a day or so. Not had this on any other car. Usually first bleed has done it.
And it's always both calipers on same circuit even if work is only on one.
Tried my normal method of someone pumping and hold pedal while I crack bleed nipple and with pipe into fluid filled jar but seems to make no difference. Still needs a second bleed after running around for a while. Then it's fine.
