Unhappy Laguna Boot & Fuel Cap Central Locking failed

I have a 1998 Laguna 2.0 RTi. Bought it a month ago and the radio remote and central locking have been working just fine until now...

The four doors lock/unlock ok with the remote or centre button but both the fuel cap and boot locks remain stubbornly locked.

I'm wondering if they have a common power/signal line that may have become interrupted and if so where this would run - I assume somewhere down the drivers side of the car.

Any pointers? Could it be a fault at the main central locking controller?

This is my 3rd Laguna and I think they are great cars......when they work!
