Hi Madnoel, the garage was kind enough to put a fivers worth of clean petrol in after removing the old lot. Originally at 8:15 this morning they recommended topping up the half tank with new fuel until I suggested that would cause the same problem again. They obviously then rubbed their hands with glee and came out with all sorts of reasons why it cost £150. But apparently, I have found that that's the going rate. They assured me this second problem is not related, and the car in my opinion is running ok after 30 miles. I shall see tomorow morning what the latest fault is. He had a price for a new camshaft sensor of about £40 plus of course the fitting.
