There's certainly models I'd avoid - I'd never have a Lag 2, for example. However, I like my Lag so much that I think I could be seriously tempted to buy a later Lag 1 estate when the time comes to replace mine, especially if I can't afford a C5 when that time comes, and almost definitely a 1.9dTi as they seem to have far fewer issues than the dCis yet offer comprable economy and performance.

Well I've been saying I wouldn't buy another one ever since 1970, but it's somehow hard to break the habit of having so much comfort in a car.

I can't and won't rule out another Renault.

No.

With so many cars on the market it would esay to buy something that is far more reliable.
Before we bought our scenic the wife had a corolla, never cost us a penny, and my Avensis is now 10 years old and except for consumables again hasn't cost me a penny.

Our Scenic had plently of warranty work and as soon it was out of warranty it went.
Currently in Emily's dad's garage:
1999 Scenic RXE, now gone as has the Alhambra that replaced it !
