Re: Abs problem

Not all diagnostic machines can read Renault systems, that could be how the fault is shown as unknown fault, that said if the ABS unit is defective it could show as not communicating with the diagnostic machine.

A garage that regularly deals with Renaults would be a good bet as they will have experience of your model of car and will more than likely know where to look for any problems.

As for checking ABS wiring etc, do a Google search for this and you will find plenty of results.

Please take the time to enter your vehicle details in the "What's current in your garage?" box.

To do this:
Hover over the "TOOLS" tab at the top of the page
> then in the dropdown click on "User Dashboard"
> click on "Edit Your Details" at the top Left hand side.
> scroll down to the "What's current in your garage?" box and enter your vehicle details.
> Once the details are entered scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Save Changes"

> Done.
