Laguna 2 Card Reader - A sad story

Yes I had the problem of the interior lights not going off and through a thread on this forum I was able to super glue that little plastic bit that broke off and solved the problem, well for a short time.

It was stated that it was a temporary repair and it did work for a couple of months, however after the third glueing this little piece of plastic broke into several pieces.

This resulted in me having to buy a new card reader from Renault. The cost of this small box with a printed circuit cost me 350.00 Euro. Quite expensive for a what it is.

As my guarantee is still valid until the end of March this year I am in contact with the garage for some kind of rebate, lets hope I can get something back.

In conclusion I can definately confirm that a new card reader is plug and play and does not require your vehicle to be reprogrammed.
