That is a lot of the problem,Vass.
Having worked in a bodyshop for a while,I know what a good job and a bad job looks like,but not all people have the same attention detail or the same 'fussyness' (new word!)as others.Some people wouldn't know a decent repair from a shocking one until it starts to have rust bubbling through it after 6 months or the paint/filler falls off........
Unless it's a small stone chip or tiny dent,then I personally would steer well clear of of these types of out fit and get it repaired properly at a bodyshop(although,admittedly they vary in quality wildly...).
As with so much in life,you pay for what you get........:
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
