Re: Polish Marks

Isn't it possible to t-cut the laquer away if you are not careful? Then you would be down to the paint.

It's been a long time since I used these sort of products, so I may be out of touch.

Technically yes, but you would need to be applying it continously for days at a time (or use a mechanical polisher).

Half a bottle used on a complete bonnet (provided a proprietary wax & polish is used after) will do absolutely no harm.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.

Re: Polish Marks

I bet it was a sponge on a dry car when it was getting washed, suprising how many people do that, instead of wetting it first to wash the grit off it.

My neighbour it doing this on his 10 plate beamer in BLACK as well, he will be sorry!

many years ago as a valeter I was told never to cut in circles, always straight lines following the contors of the car, that way swirls where never that obvious, right or wrong who knows.
Definatly with Vel on the lacqure, it will take you a long time and some real hard rubbing to get rid of it.
I would not take it to a body shop you can't really mess it up unless you do sometihng really stupid with it which usualy has a machine polisher some where in the equasion
