Scenic II Rear panel scratched, What can I do?

My rear panel (The one in line with the number plate) is badly scratched. Seeing as this is not part of the main bodywork etc I wondered how I could clean it up or does it have to be resprayed? It's the grey colored bumper parts.

Re: Scenic II Rear panel scratched, What can I do?

It really depends on how deep the scratches are - if shallow, then it may be possible to touch-in after compounding & polishing. If deep, then it would need filling and or sanding before spraying.

The other alternative is to source a good secondhand one.

Here are all the possible paintcodes/colours for the trim to help you identify your car...

  • 205139
  • 2001 - 2005

  • 21573
  • 2001 - 2005

  • D69
  • 2004 - 2011

  • 205265
  • 2005 - 2011
The first number is the paintcode, then the years it was used, followed by the name of the colour.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
