Replacing a Clio MKII driver side electric wing mirror (damaged by Chavs)

Hi All,

For the second time now, some Chavs thought it would be hilarious to twist my driver side wing mirror the wrong way causing the joint to fail (hence the tape in the picture). The last time it happened, I paid for a grarage to fix it and was told by the mechanic who did it afterwards that it was an easy fix and that all I needed to do was remove a plastic panel and unscrew four nuts - so I thought I'd save myself a bit of cash this time round and do it myself.

I'm pretty sure the panel he's talking about is the one I've outlined in the picture and I'm just wondering is there some knack to getting this off? Like does it slide upwards, or just pull off, 'cos it seems pretty secure and I don't want to damage it if I can help it.

Thanks again!

The panel outlined clips off - start at the top corner - insert a thin broad blade such as an old chisel and it should release.
