Removal of scuttle panel

On my 54plate grand scenic i am trying to take off scuttle panel to check a drain tube and unblock it as getting water into passenger foot well.
I have taken off part of the panel on the near side but cant see no drain tube. Do i need to remove window wipers and rest of panel.

Can anyone help as i have looked on you tube for a video on removal but cant find one.

Many Thanks.

Re: Removal of scuttle panel

you are looking for a "cut out" under there... not a tube !!

under the windscreen when the plastic trim is off there is a "tray" that runs along under the windscreen !! at the end of it is a cut out, possibly with a rubber flap which stops road crud from getting in !!

the rain runs out of these and down behind the front wheels...

do you have a sunroof ??
if so... the drain tubes run down the door pillars and into a "valve" behind the wheel arch... the valve is actually again a rubber flap to stop crud going up it but does not always keep everything out...
you may need to remove the wheels to get to the arch and then the valve... clean it out using a screwdriver from below...
another tip found in the forum is to use a length of curtain rail... the spring type which you hook an eye into...about 1.5mtrs should do....
feed this down the sunroof drains....moveit up and down a few times and this again should free up any blockage...!!

hope this helps...
